ROOTS Rotary Blower

Roots  (former name Howden/Dresser, Inc.) is the longest continuously in manufacturer of rotary positive displacement blower in the United States since 1854. All Roots (Howden/Dresser, Inc) blowers are heavy duty rotary blowers, sturding design engineered for continuous duty and max reability may operate under either vacuum or pressure application with no equipment modification, available for vertical and horizontal configuration.

​​These blowers with single stage unit can reach the air flow up to 16870 cfm, discharge pressure up to 35 psig, vacuum to 28”Hg.

The Blower are center timed to allow rotation in either direction and available for air and gas application.

The exclusive design blower with “Whispair” discharge jet plenum design which allow cool atmospheric to flow into the cylinder reduce the pulsation, noise and power loss

Seal in the Roots Blower (Howden/Dresser, Inc.) are consist of head plate seal, bearing seal, drive shaft seal, the seal type available are labyrinth, piston ring , hydrodynamic filled Teflon, mechanical gas seal, lip seal. The Roots ( Howden/Dresser, Inc.) blower standard material is cast iron, almoloy coating as the option for corrosion resistance application and to reduce wear.
